Words into Action (Ages 16 - Adult)

Ages 16 - Adult
Steven Cole Hughes
Dramatic language is very different from poetry and non-dramatic prose. The engine that drives dramatic language is dialogue. Words. The words that characters say to one another. Aristotle defines drama as “an imitation of an action.” If drama is action, and drama is made up of words, thus it follows that words are action. In this seminar we will discuss active dialogue and dramatic storytelling, and students will have an opportunity to write their own short scene.
